"Appetite", by D.E.Z.

Sometimes I hear music and it amazes me that doctors haven't started prescribing sounds as medicine yet.

D.E.Z., one of VirtuosoVillage's in-house producers and contributors has a project on the horizon.  He calls it Persona, and by the sounds of it, it's gonna be something for the city to be proud of.  If the single Appetite is any indication, all I can say is, "What's the hold up..."

I've always been a fan of nice loops; on Appetite, D.E.Z. manages to weave together some choice samples and a quite cozy drum kit, then smooth 'em over with some phasers for transition, giving us a relaxing listen.  On top of that, for 80's babies like myself, we've got some Johnny Quest clips to give us a visual.

(...Question:  what is it about old cartoons that's so damn soothing?  Like, it could be a fight scene with dudes swingin' from ropes and dropkicking fools in the teeth, yet, nothing in the whole scene stimulates you.  It's like watching fish in a--- I'm getting off topic.)

Peep the hard work of the homie D.E.Z., and let's brace ourselves for the full project dropping soon!
